Alarm service and maintenance

For your alarm system to comply with the Australian Standards AS NZS: 2201, it MUST be tested and serviced by a licensed and trained technician at least once a year for commercial and at least once every two years for most domestic installations.

Insurance companies that require you to have an alarm system require it to be to Australian Standards, failure to do so may result in an insurance claim refusal!

Over time backup battery's may need to be replaced, sensors may be blocked by boxes or new walls, cables may be damaged leaving devices such as sirens not operational.
These things may be out of sight and un noticed by the user, all of which can severely comprise detection and security, results could be catastrophic, especially if an insurance claim is refused because of such defects..

Our maintenance service provides piece of mind, ensuring that the system is functioning as intended, while staying compliant.

Permaconn GPRS

Phone line cut or out = no monitoring!

Want monitoring but have no phone line?

Dialer alarms rely on phone lines to send all alarm and event signals to the control room, if the phone line is down due to accidental or deliberate disconnection, no signals can be sent to the control room.

We can supply and install a GPRS unit that has access to two different carriers networks, all signals are sent over these GPRS networks to the control room, saving on phone costs, having access to two separate carriers, normally Telstra and Optus, provides true redundancy backup incase of a failure our outage with one and as the GPRS unit is constantly polled, any outage or failure will be detected.

This provides 3 transmission methods, GPRS carrier 1, GPRS carrier 2 and dialer backup. If any or all 3 transmission methods fail or is compromised, the control room will detect this, and will be able to respond as appropriate.
